Here in northern California we have daffodils and roses blooming together in the garden right now. The daffodils will keep blooming until hot weather arrives in April or May; the roses will fade a bit in January, but will be back in full glory by April. So, yes, in a Mediterranean climate like Italy and California you get daffodils and roses at the same time, in April.
And I'm harvesting collards and kale. Pretty close to cabbage.
My garden, like most gardens of people with other main occupations, does get intermittent neglect. I'd love to reveal myself through my garden as a person who takes bounteous care of everyone, but I am revealed as someone with bigger plans than ability to follow the plan.
Disordered? Anarchic? Wildly profuse? some of each.
