Any discussion about Iraq that neglects to mention oil (or more specifically the huge amount of potential wealth represented by the Iraqi oil) is pointless. Oil is the reason the US military went in to Iraq. It's the reason we remain.

Anyone who believes that Bush Inc. cares about political stability, human rights, peace or democracy in the middle east, or anywhere else, has either not been paying attention or is on the receiving end of some of the trillion dollars spent on this fiasco.
