...and well deserved; far too often writers seem to fix on Joni's looks, rather than her staggering talent as a one of the premier singer/songwriters of a generation. Why is it so hard to accept that she's grown from that shimmering golden sylph-like ethereal presence into a mature older woman? She's aged but she's also lived, and during a time when many others didn't make it past the first few rays of fame's hot glare. Her music remains timeless and hauntingly beautiful, thats all that really matters.
