Thanks for these thoughts. The song is still fresh for me, after a solid 30 years. One of the best i ever heard. Once in a forthnight is my minimum to listen to the whole album.

Of course for those not familiar with this music, a short mention could be made of the famous J.Pastorius, playing a very unique bass guitar for JM. In fact he carries that music in a way not heard on any other of her albums.

There is maybe one other song a little bit ahead of Amelia, and this would be "White Rabbit". Can still drive me to tears.
