I do think a good program should give you a small sum, say $250 a year for staying fit. Let's say it's run by insurence companies and not th govt, I'm sure they're saving that much thanks to your good lifestyle.

On the other hand, fitness is its own reward, you already earn a higher income, have more dating opportunities, a longer life expectancy, a higher quality of life, a better self immage and countless other benefits. Do you really begrudge overweight folks the measlie sums they would recieve under such a program. Yes part of being overweight is lifestyle, but part of it is also genetic. I spend almost no time working out, yet I'm closer to underweight than overweight, not thanks to my virtue but thanks to my fast metabolsim.
