Actually the overwhelming majority of hyperlinked texts in Saletan's articles go to studies funded by the Pioneer Fund. Jensen, Lynn, Gottfredson, Murray, Hernstein... and so on.

Saletan chose to focus on Rushton because Rushton is already fairly well considered a kook by the science community. (see his penis length & ejaculation distance studies on race as correlated to IQ)

Another reason he might not have wanted to talk about professor Richard Lynn is that there is now a preponderance of evidence that this man has completely fudged statistics and improperly handled data... data which his other Pioneer Fundies use in their studies incestuously.
