Misuse of Google
by foole

One minor nit to pick with the article. Noah states, "when his name is paired on Google with the word credulous, yields 73,800 hits". While this is true if you search for 'Larry King credulous' (minus the single quotes) this does not return many links related to Larry King. The proper search would be '"Larry King" credulous' minus the single quotes, but keeping the double quotes around 'Larry King'. The latter search produces a more modest 15,800 hits.

Of course, this search isn't necessarily correct, either. Page hits aren't a terribly useful metric for the truthfulness of a statement or idea.
