I actually set out to figure out what he picked myself, but when I realized you couldn't be 100% sure, I gave up. I didn't think about doing it just to eliminate "Don't stop Believin." Good work!

As for why Chase would do it, it have been to point out his role as ghost in the machine driving the plot toward whatever resolution. Or possibly because (you should be sitting down for this) it is the kind of song someone might pick.

Of course he has made clear that he wanted that song specifically because of it's lyrics, so (as much as I may find it a little empty and trite) there was something in the lyrics that is important in some way.
