* In some Arabic cultures, it's acceptable to kill your sister if she sleeps with a man before she gets married or to kill your brother if he's gay. I think that's wrong but, according to the author of the article you linked, that makes me guilty of being a racist if I think so?

-It is not your fault, anyway. You are innocent guys and you are behaving accordingly.

While reading, attentively, your points of view I realised how badly American people need updating. You still confuse Arabs and Muslims. Ignoring the Arabs count about 125 million people including non Muslims as in Lebanon and Syria and Copts in Egypt. You still keep in memories only stereotyped images that were well rooted by Hollywood and suspicious written works.

Hollywood was not that innocent. It always produced good and interesting films, but beside those films, other propaganda films aiming at protecting Americans and American from the red Devil, communism tsunami of that time were made. And from time to time, stereotyped images of the ugly pop-eyed and big bellied Arabs are cunningly presented. This was not innocently done, unfortunately.

It only meant to discredit whatever Arab Countries did and do. Hollywood has world widely rooted this image, up to now, unfortunately.

I am sure there are too many people who would agree with this, but don't have enough courage to help in denying and restoring Hollywood's allegations. I am also sure that some tried to but encountered a huge bloc of attacks which treated them as pro-Arabs, thus anti-Israel. And a real fierce campaign was engaged to silence them and put bridles on potential temptations. This is USA, really. Its foreign policy, especially Middle East's, is directed by the endangered people of Israel. Things have changed but the interested guys haven't. Sorry to focus on this problem. People there are feeling betrayed by the west that was involved to do two and only two things; to encourage and support Israel policy what ever the price was, and to condemn and punish Palestinians and deny their right to fight for their freedom. It is a dilemma, isn't it?

Once the Middle East problem is fairly solved, there would be no reason for hatred no more, believe me.

PS I am sure this post will be either ignored or savagely attacked.
