height and position of post and thread boxes

3) Threaded View Too Small - Many complaints that the post box is too short in threaded view. We're locked into a fixed height - however, we can probably make it larger. Tentative proposal - we quadruple its current size.
I'm in favor of quadrupling the height of the post box, but, as skitch said, it should remain below the thread box. (If it were above the thread box, we'd have to scroll down past lots of wasted white space beneath every short post in order to get to the thread box to click to the next post.)

And why not at least double the height of the thread box while you're at it. At least on my system, the thread box and post box together currently occupy only about one half of the available vertical space on the screen, so if the thread box were doubled and the post box were quadrupled (and still on the bottom), we'd have a much better grasp of the thread, be able to read twice as much of each long post without scrolling (compared with the currrent arrangement), and have to scroll down (using the window and/or box scroll bars) only for the longer posts.
