The one Coen brothers movie that will remain "relevant"...

is "The Big Lebowski". It's the gift that keeps on giving. Most all of their movies are wonderful, so I could care less if they're considered "relevant". But the only one of them I actually own is "Lebowski". And I suspect 30 years from now people will still be watching it. My God though, "Blood Simple", "Raising Arizona", "Miller's Crossing" and "Fargo" are all so good. "Hudsucker Proxy" and "O Brother Where Art Thou?" are at the very least entertaining. That's a lot of great work to disregard.
For some reason, perhaps because it's more purely just a comedy, perhaps because it not only holds up to repeat viewings but gets almost exponentially better with them, "Lebowski" will be the one film that sticks around.
Who knows?
"The only thing that bugs me is critics. It's like shooting at a flying saucer as it tries to land, without giving the occupants a chance to identify themselves".
