Not all of TFA alum are great teachers. So your recommendation is to 'dumb down' their standards, so they don't miss out on the occasional 'diamond-in-the-rough'. Isn't that the kind of thinking what got us to the point where most people think teaching is 'if you can't do - teach'?

Any program that makes the attempt to get those 'best-and-brightest' into teaching is okay in my book.
