It was a remarkable show of talent and skill and vocal beauty. Of course aas a tenor all of his notes were on target and as far as i could not just one note barely had a little "off-key" singe to it...but that can only be detected by a well-trained ear. Most obvikously, individuals like Paul Potts have a natural talent and are gifted, and have developed it simply by sheer force of will by singing that which they love to listen to and hear. He may also have had some vocal training, as his ability to capture the high notes and sustain them shows some capacity for good breath control. However, sometimes one may not see themselves in this capacity early on in their life, so they take another road for sustain themselves, all the while keeping up their skill and talent and ability. Eventually, the breakthrough comes about. Let us hope that with this window of opportunity that Pau Potts has been given, that he can move into the sphere where he truly wants to live and work in, such as Opera singing as a career. However, one has to realize that sometimes, the economikc gains may or may not be huge. But good luck Paul Potts, you have a fabulous voice and sound delivery! Musical and beautiful...
