There are more concerns about the Catholics controlling the US than the Jews.

Were that the case, the U.S. would have been giving money to the Catholic country of Lebanon all this time. And Lebanon would be using the money to carpet bomb and occupy Israel/Palestine every half dozen years, because that poor broke half-Jewish constantly civil-warring state couldn't control the radical Muslims on its borders.

Of course, anyone who suggested the powerful Lebanese Lobby wasn't purely an upstanding ordinary interest group would clearly be an anti-Catholic bigot.
