What I should have said was: "When using the word 'commitment', you [seansanders] are using it as if it only means "legal commitment", and not paying attention to the fact that the word has a broader meaning, which includes emotional commitment, and SusanM is using it to mean 'emotional commitment', and not acknowledging that the word 'commitment' includes the legal sense as well.

The fact is, if in each of your posts where you use the word "commitment" you instead had written "emotional commitment", and seans had instead written "legal commitment", the discussion would have been a lot shorter.
