Hey, don’t you think we should just quit putting time and energy into that stupid H1N1 vaccine? And a national campaign to increase awareness of H1N1 is just a wickedly awesome waste of time and money. After all, the people have spoken… both here in California:
A new poll confirms that the Obama administration and federal health officials have failed to convince Americans -- at least those in the most populous state of California -- of the seriousness of a H1N1 swine flu pandemic.
A majority of those registered voters polled by a new survey team involving The Times and the University of Southern California said they believed the new, delayed vaccine was safe.
But a majority also said they had no intention of getting it.
Hey, It’s a free country. And, look at that kids face…shots give you an owy.
And nationally:
So much for the persuasive powers of the U.S. federal government. Think about that for a minute: A whopping majority of Americans (62%) would rather risk illness than believe in their government's urgings of necessity and safety.
Politics are much more important than necessity; future elections much more than public safety.
