If citizens in a democracy are strongly opposed to a measure that affects them, their representatives should heed their opinions.

Which is not what Pelosi is doing. She is attempting to strong-arm votes from representatives. Over 60 of whom represent districts opposed to the plan.

And that is not really democracy.
