The first "estimate" is admittedly given before the event started, and the next estimate is merely 500 people higher. These are NOT official estimates, like I said, and the sheer coincidence that three officers would all give the same number is highly unlikely. I was asked by one of the journalists there how many there were, and honestly, gave my estimate far higher than 4,000.
