When you bring life into this world then you have responsibilities, no matter if that life is 6 or 60. Now, that doesn't mean that you give the now adult kid whatever they want or let them get away with murder but if he failed her when she was a child then he has a responsibility to work with her as an adult to get past that.

I get that you think she is owning up to that, which means she deserves everything she got. However I see a person who got screwed over once and may still carry the scars forward with her. Nobody deserved her dad abandoning her at 14, no matter what she did. So I have a hard time carrying that forward and saying she deserves crap now that she didn't deserve then, even if her self-worth is low enough to think that she does.

We all see life through our own experiences. What I find strange is that you can look at the facts listed and pretend that she is an objective observer. Do you really think somebody that was so off kilter that they were trying to physically harm a child has an objective view of what was going on at the time? And can report on that time completely without bias?
