Reagan cut taxes and then raised taxes....too bad people only remember his 1980 tax bill and not the 1982 tax increase.

The democrats have been better then the repubs at controlling spending. The spending that is currently so high is a result of the deregulation of Wall Street and the lack of supervision from the SEC. Now we will have to wait until the economy stabilizes before we can actually judge Obama's spending.
