Where is the leadership you would point to as remotely acquainted with economic theory? Would it be Cheney (Reagan proved deficit spending is not a problem)?

Can you defend the national debt that the republican leadership added $9 trillion to? That is about the amount of money borrowed while Reagan, HW Bush and W were presidents.
