I looked at your evidence and it didn't support the idea that there was a strong consensus that there would be global cooling over a time span relevant to human civilization. I pointed this out in the evidence that you provided, so there was no reason to provide any counter information. Feel free to link it again though if you believe I didn't address it adequately.

I'll dig back to those links eventually, I'm sure, but I think we'll end up quibbling (or at least, you'll end up caviling) over "relevant to human civilization." Several of the papers presented at UNESCO indicated shortened growing seasons, and hence diminished food supplies -- certainly that would be "relevant to civilization" even if the span of cooling was only a matter of decades. There clearly was a consensus that there was global cooling and that it merited study.
