I had the pleasure of being a disc jockey while at Maryville at WGAP 1400 owned by Mr Frank Corbett who was an old Knoxville radio man and wanted only the best music played which he surmised was big band but I loved Percy Faith,Jerry Vale,Patti Page,Tony Bennet,Herny Mancini,Andy Williams,Mantovani,Frank Sinatra,Ann Murray,Arthur Fiedler,Bing Crosby,Floyd Kramer.Roger Whittaker,Liberace,Englebert,T­om Jones and many I've forgotten.Loved the way AM faded in and out at night..still listen nightly to hear the phase go in and out between ground wave and sky wave from the lovely New Orleans on the Mississippi.Wish you had been able to visit Horn Island on your trip and envisioned what Walter Anderson saw..
