But what effect will it have on votes in the Senate? This is not asked idly. They tried to Rahm through the healthcare deal in July, so they wouldn't have to hear their constituents OK, that didn't work, so they tried to get it done by Halloween. And it fell apart. There's a reason why these elections were such a deadline. Because everyone knew they'd scare the bejeezus out of anyoneon the fence.
