The bill at the time only prevented the illegals from getting the subsidies but NOT from buying into the public option if they paid. Be honest. After the Wilson outburst more provisions were added to address illegal immigrants. These were necessary provisions. So while the outburst was wrong the end result was good; Illegal immigrants got thrown under the bus by the Dems!
