reJoinder:
I don't have to have reasons or a "defense' to justify my lack of belief in Christianity. You're clearly just as irrational as I painted you, particularly if you're saying that I, or anyone, believes something as mind-numbingly stupid as "an amoeba did once turn into a dinosaur....etc. etc."
Moron.
Yes, you godless evolutionists (those who claim there is no reason or logic for ID) are so adept at telling me what evolution is not, but struggle to tell me what it is.
So let's trace the phyla back of brontasaurus. Somewhere past he was a tiny lizard, and before that what? a crappie? and before that what? a jelly fish? and before that what? a snail? and before that? a paramecium? or an amoeba?
He had to start from something very tiny did he not rejoinder? (insert answer here) And this evolution trail all happened why? Because the amoeba wanted to grow some eyes and ears? Oh wait, there is no thinking going on, it happened because of that magical word called "natual selection" which is a big bunch of impressive nothing in true meaning. No proof of God in all this again mind you. It all happened by chance or some tricked up word that means the same. Oh, and a few million years which is another one of your biggest pieces of ammo. Yes, this is hard science, your demi-god.
And you are only laughing on the outside for your friends' admiration. You're a brave guy.
No there is no "proof of god" in evolution. Because its not a linear process. And in fact, if there was a "hand of god" many of the evolutionary adaptations would not be as clunky as they are. consider the knee joint. If ever there was a badly "designed" structure, this is it. Highly vulnerable to injury, with loads that result in arthritis within a normal lifespan, it is a joint that works very well for a 4 legged creature, but not for a 2 legged one.
Similar sub-optimal adaptation is rampant in all species.
And no, none of it has to do with an "ameoba wanting to grow some eyes and ears" - rather it is that the amoebas who had a mutation that allowed them to sense the difference between food rich and food poor environments through their cell walls, prospered compared to those who could not.
And then among those that prospered, the ones that were able to develop flagella to move to the new location faster, got to spend more time feeding and multiplying so they in turn differentiated themselves and prosperred. And then perhaps a symbiosis between the fast moving ones and the slow moving ones occurred where the slow moving ones were less vulnerable to attack by other macrophages. So the two types of bacteria started building colonies together. And then this symbiotic pairing went extinct because the environmental conditions changed faster than they could readapt - but some of the original amoebas survived because they were still in their original environment (having not moved) etc.
And over hundreds of millions of years of cummulative evolution, we arrived at the Brontasaurus. Which then went extinct because of a meteor crash, and the process started again.
Just pure empirical changes combined with it happening in a trillion trillions in parallel.
