Rosenbaum reduces good and evil to democracy vs. all comers
by candoxx

Rosenbaum reduces good and evil to democracy vs. all comers. In that respect, he is like any reductionist zealot who only knows ONE thing, and blasts away at anything he deems a threat.

By his logic, if the system is deemed "good" then Stalin or anyone else can purge as many challengers as they like becuase, afterall, the system is indeed being challenged. All systems are always being challenged by anyone hurt by them, is all and Rosenbaum does not seem to understand that.

Democracy American Style is according to Rosenbaum now the new God presumably. Duh, he says! Not so fast, slick I say.

P.S. A good example recently of the banality of evil was seeing Ms. Clinton being questioned by students in Pakistan who begged her to stop bombing their people with drones, to which she responded, with expressions on her face as if she were the afflicted, by saying, "There is a war on you know."

Having said all that, I reject concepts of "good" and "evil" anymore as of very limited use. They are used religiously, by zealots, usually to persecute and harm other human beings whose only "sin" is that they are not whatever you are.

The left, too, picks some absolute condition of "good" and then proceeds to bash every single thing that ever happened short of that dreamed-of absolute good, like no classes, so that no one can find any place to stand, much less move!

I recall seeing a book thing on CSPAN several years ago where the author was predicting the AIG/Lehamn crash in general, and a right winger had a fit, saying, "I don't want to hear this." That is what I dispise and abominate about zealots...they simply cannot stand to let go of their fantasies, not for one blessed second.
