Leaving things up to the states has shown its weakness--slavery, ignorance, inability to survive disasters, corruption, etc.
How else do we have such a division in the quality of education, the vast chasm of ignorance is a hard one to call proof of success of states rights.
And it allowed slavery to last well beyong the revolution too.
It weakened oversight to the point that Bush could launch a war on lies and not get investigated for it.
If we can so easily raise a military against a nation without proof of justification then we have given the central government too much power for war and if we can have such ignorance we have given the states too much power to control right to education. This is why I will always be against vouchers--all they do is further degrade the ability to provide an equal education for all........
The focus on making war as being OK for little or no debate and the ability to make education a low priority is hardly anything to be proud of Truecon. It is why the cons were voted out and will continue to perform badly in the foreseeable future.
