Beyond age, racial demographics are a serious factor for the GOP as well. 95% of blacks and 65% of Hispanics voted for Obama- numbers only a bit higher than usual. With whites destined to be a minority by 2054, unless the republicans are able to make a real effort to appeal to these voters its going to be a steeper uphill battle for them to win the presidency with every election.
