The fact the Catholic Church is uncompromising on gay marriage or even the acceptance of homosexuality as an innocent alternative lifestyle is not only proper (IMO) but would be an outrage to me if they were to yield to modern mores.

But this is about as quintessential an example of anti-science as you can get. The vast majority of evidence is that sexuality is biologically driven (much of it phermonally) - a combination of genetics and pre-natal epigenetics.

IOW science tells us there is no distinction between homosexual and heterosexual attraction. And yet the HRCC makes up such a distinction largely out of a Cafeteria Christian approach to Leviticus.

The rest of you points are so steeped in Dogma its pretty much useless to have a discussion on them.
