The reason that cults are cults is because they teach principles that can not be proven or require a passage to a metaphysical existance before they can realize profit for the believer.

So yes, all Christian religions can be considered a cult on some level. With the exception of the Cubs, I would say that the rest of sports does not qualify. Sooner or later, your team probably will win. And if they don't you find out at the end of the season.
