I consider this type of advertising emotional pornography. Just like the ads that use sxy images- they hijack an ingrained human response in order to peddle their products. Granted- the Levi ad is not necessarily the worst offenders. The car and life insurance companies are the worst offenders. Sometimes I'm almost moved to tears watching one of those commercials with the father bringing up the baby daughter and then finally sending her off to college- only to realize that it's a goddamn tire commercial!
