Tundrayeti, it seems that you are conflating personal attributes with your arguments about the nature of the universe and that has no place here. Whether or not someone is "polite" or a "caustic asshole" is irrelevant. Whether or not you are a scientist or a Christian is irrelevant. I suppose you bring up these points to make your arguments sound more reasonable but they have no bearing on determining what goes on in the world. The leaps of faith are indeed of different magnitudes. Saying you don't believe that God or Brahma or fairies or aliens created the universe is symmetrical -- all of those theories are untestable and unsupported by empirical evidence. Inventing a specific untestable explanation is not the "equal but opposite" situation.
