I honestly don't think we'll ever limit population growth. People in this country think they have the "right" to have as many children as they want. The situation is similar in other countries. Studies have shown that as the standard of living and education goes up, birth rates go down. For the standard of living to be raised in other countries, it will probably have to be lowered in the U.S. and Western Europe. I don't see anyone here willing to give up their Snuggies or, of course, their pet snuggies. I also don't believe we have the time left it's going to take to make those changes.

I think spirituality is an artifact of the way our brains are set up. I went through a period where I was deeply religious, but I got over it.
