Re: Good Advice... question...
by Demosthenes2

Hi Alexa-Blue... thanks for weighing in here. Always good to hear a voice of reason and we've got a few in this thread.

So--my son is 4 (turning 5 in December) in pre-school. My twin duaghters turn two next month. The H1N1 vaccine is not available here just yet, though I intend to have all of them vaccinated immediately as soon as it's available. I have a history of colds that turn into bronchial infections--in fact, have walking pneumonia right now. I'm concerned that with that allergy/asthma/respiratory history I might be in the risk pool that should be vaccinated (age 46) and expect that I will need to be recovered from this infection first prior to taking the vaccine. Should I request a vaccine dose when available and when past this infection based on respiratory history and how long do you estimate the time to availability?

Thanks!
