You're looking at it more from a philosophical standpoint than I am. All I refer to is scientific evidence. As scientists, it's our goal to remove as much of a viewpoint as humanly possible (another minefield, I know), so that a particular origin hypothesis isn't "good" or "bad;" it just is.

Of course, understanding that life has a chemical origin doesn't preclude existence of a creator of some sort. I just prefer to add that into a hypothesis when there's actually some reason to do so.
