conutry has money running out the wazoo. I guess we do if it will buy votes such as the $250 proposed gift to seniors because the Social Security COLA increase will be 0 this year. Nevermind that the past couple of years had the COLA increase at 4-5 % which was well above the inflation rate of about 2%., and also that as a group the seniors are the wealthiest in the nation. I subverts the process set up to provide cost of living adjustments, sort of like changing the election rules in Massachusetts whenever you need to secure that a Democrat wins.
