First of all, she leaves crap all over his office for him to clean up. It was even premeditated. It's not like she left something in a drawer and forgot about it. She specifically wrote that she knew she left crap in his office, thought about cleaning it up, and then was like, nah, he can do it. So this poor guy is left to clean up and lamely write that, it didn't take that long.

Second, you never tell your spouse that your job is harder and they have it easy. Even if it is true, it is just rude and boorish to say it. Even more so to write it in a public forum read by lots of people. Yet his wife, based on a scant two weeks, proclaims judgment to him and in her article. How easy would it have been to respond with, "This isn't hard, I have a babysitter come watch the kids for half the day, so really I'm parenting for 4-5 hours, then the rest of the time I peck away at my computer, under no real financial pressure to publish or make money. What is my wife complaining about?"

Interesting gender difference. Women by and large, especially stay at home mothers, can generally make the assertion above w/out any real social repurcussions. Everybody just nods their head in patronizing agreement. But if a guy ever makes the exact same assertion about his wife he is the biggest jerk in the world. And he is a big jerk, but the woman is just as big a jerk for making the same statement and should be treated accordingly.
