Yes, I-Man is Confused
by Bob Johnson

From bottom up:

"How is cutting our carbon emmissions [sic] going to make one ounce of difference, considering the rate of increase in carbon emmissions [sic] from the rest of the world?"

Let's think in millions of pounds rather than ounces. We can make both a real and an exemplary difference. America alone can change the world's perceptions and predilections.

"I've heard enviros say 'Well we have to lead on this' and 'We have to start somewhere' but isn't that a little ridiculous considering the math? Should we bomb China? The rest of the third world? Stop modernization?"

What in the world is an "enviro?" Does this thing hate you, threaten your life or health? Would an enviro buy your newspaper and make it Fox News?

Ridiculous is using statistics as math, shibboleth as truth. "Leading" and "starting" are good things: they lead to "modernization".

Read the U.S. Defense Department's review of future threats. It puts terrorism behind global warming and an outbreak of pandemic disease. No problem: We will bomb anyone anywhere. We don't even need a good reason.

From what I can tell, our carbon emmissions [sic] are allegedly the problem, right folks?

Yes. What are you going to do about it?
