Are Arabs "a people" or a bunch of peoples?

Well, they are certainly a bunch of people. Definitely the North African Arabs are different than the Middle-Eastern Arabs. And of course, the Saudies are universally despised by all of them.

What countries have you been to in the Arab world and what are the differences in temperament, culture, food, etc.?

I have pretty much only been to Jordan. Would love to go to Egypt, Lebanon, Morroco, Syria, and Iran (though Iranians are Persian and not Arab)

Beisdes table dancing, what are Arab parties like?

Lots of dancing, heavy drinking, food, joking, music, laughter, flirting, clapping, singing. `Oh, and smoking. Very uninhibited. Very fun.

Can one be an atheist and still a (cultural) Mormon? If so, what does that mean?

How much do I love Dawkins? Yes, I can write to my nephew on his mission and support him. I go to all the baptisms and farewells and homecomings. I understand the language, though sometimes I forget. I no longer use the words, Brother so and so. Or Bishop, when describing people. So much of it is wearing off. And though I live in the community, I am not of it. The longer I am removed, the stranger they look to me. I now see them as foreign to myself as Jehovah witnesses, Catholics, or Muslims.

You're an atheist, but do you follow a school of philosophy? If so, which one?

I am not sure about atheis philosophies, but I think of Auntie Mame saying, "life is a banquet, and most poor sons of bitches are starving to death" or this, "

Life is not a journey to the grave
With the intention of
Arriving safely in a pretty
And well preserved body,
But rather to skid in broadside,
Thoroughly used up,
Totally worn out,
And loudly proclaiming,

WOW !!!! What a ride!

Something like that. I am of the atheist philosophy that believes in life before death.
