3. How are you not represented? Did you not vote with your fellow American's during the presidential, congressional, state and local elections? As for overtaxation. Much of the currenct deficit resultes from lower tax collections due to the Bush tax cuts and the recession, TARP, placing things like the war on terror back on the government budget as opposed cynically removing it as a government as a special expenditure. The only thing Obama has added was 1/2 of the stimulus package, a sizable chunk of which is tax cuts and credits. Besides, you point is ridiculous. Government taxation as a percentage of GDP has remained fairly consistent since the seventies. It's actually lower now than it was in the 90s, so we aren't suffering under an onerous tax burden.
What Democrats and Republicans for that matter don't understand is that just because one party or the other has the majority it does not mean that the majority of the people agree with all of the policies of that party. Just because they are voted in does not mean that the majority of the people that voted them in agree with every policy that they represent. Unless you are a sheep that follows everything that your party represents you will not agree with everything that the party wants to implement. When a representative votes against the majority of their constituency just to follow the party line because they feel that they know what is best for their constituents and ignore them is taxation without representation. Our representatives DO NOT represent the party or special interests, they represent the people and when they ignore what the people tell them they want, they are not representing them. Right now there are many representatives who are ignoring their constituents not only on a Federal level but on a State level.
You can keep bringing up Afghanistan and Iraq all you want but at the time the majority of the people were for both wars. The continuation of them may be different but once you are already in it is a lot harder to get out no matter how much you may want to.
