Much more travel. Much more politics.

(10) Give us a tour of Utah, what should we see and avoid and why? How are the people/culture different from other Americans, give specifics.

Oh man. That could take weeks to write.

Let's start with the Salt Desert: Miles and Miles of Salt. Just salt. It is where they go to break the land speed records.

Coming East you will come into the city at the base of the Wasatch Mountains. It is a beautiful city with wide streets. Not a lot of nightlife, but there is some if you look. The liquor laws are relaxing. One of my favorite streets is South Temple. There you can find the Mormon area, including the Temple (constructed out of granite from the local mountains), Conference Center, and Brigham Young's house where many of his 50 wives lived with him. Continuing East you will find the Catholic Cathedral and Presbytarian Church-- sitting right next to each other. Many old mansions are on this street, including the Governor's Mansion. You will also pass the Masonic temple before the street ends at Fraternity row for the University of Utah. 2 other buildings not to miss in the city would be the new City Library and the City and Country Building.

Miss: The entire West Side of the Valley. Suburb Hell. Don't Miss: Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons. Gorgeous any time of year. Alta has the best powder skiing in the world.

You can skip most of Utah county except for the Alpine Loop, Sundance, and Bridal Veil Falls. Wave to them as you make your way to Park City. Park City is my favorite place to be in Utah. Gorgeous, with world class restaurants and Shopping. All the beauty of Utah, with all the comforts of a big city.

I can't even begin to describe our amazing national Parks. Was just in Zion this last week, having my breath taken away yet again, seing the new fall colors. Want western ruggedness? Go to Moab, with nearby Arches and Cayonland Parks. My favorite park has to be Bryce, though, with it's weird alien landscape.

I think I scratched the surface. Mormon culture in another post.
