I've taken some online writing classes, and they were wonderful helps to get my thoughts organized and a great way to get some feedback. I found it very positive (not just "nice job" but where people shared how your writing made them feel) and it helped me continue to write.
I've been wanting to form my own writer's group and I have one woman (not a Frayster) who's interested, and maybe another. If you would be (and Cat too!) that would give us four or five, and I think we could make it work!
Nothing terribly strenuous, but a weekly commitment to submit, then comment on each other's work. It does require about 30 minutes a day (or 3 hours all in one day for procrastinators) and I think we could set it up for six weeks to see if we like it.
Let me know if you're at all interested. Cat has my email and she can share it with you. We can take it off Board (which, although I love Geezers is probably a good idea).
Old hospital bills are pretty amazing. My husband's hospital stay was for three months in a large regional hospital for a serious surgery, complications and so forth... and our HMO picked up everything except the $15/day surcharge for the private room. We were very, very, very fortunate!
Even so, that bill is nothing compared to what the costs are today.
I also found the bill for my last baby - $1,500 and that was in 1988! I wonder what the heck it costs these days?
