Question for an evangelical, any evangelical: If you're "saved," does that mean you will never, ever commit another sin as long as you draw breath on this earth? If you do sin after being "saved," does that mean you were never really saved in the first place?
I can answer you according to my beliefs and understanding of scripture; other Christians might differ with me:
No. As a Christian, I still sin. Being saved doesn't make me perfect. It means I don't have to be perfect because Jesus was perfect for me.
No. Sinning doesn't make a person unsaved. Salvation is a free gift of God and has nothing to do with behavior. If I sin, it just means I'm still human, and I still need God's help.
