It took two professional journalists, filing this report from Pakistan, undoubtedly at great expense to some news organization and at great physical risk to the reporters, to tell us that a suicide bomber attacking the UN's World Food Program is abhorrent? Can't we get a little more background here as to the attitude from the Pakistani Arab street? Can we get some information about the effectiveness of the program -- is food really going to the most deserving, is there some corrupt local politics going on that is compromising the distribution process (as often happens in Africa)? Is the Pakistani resentment of foreign occupation so intense that this is a way of saying that their national pride is more important than food? This article could have been written by anyone with access to a map of Pakistan and a few minutes of reading info on the UN web page. Come on -- if we wanted easily shared opinions, we read the fray. Let's get some real journalism and information going here so we can understand the situation better.
