Recently found an old CD by a Romanian punk-pop group - Zdob si Zdub. The album is Agroromantica.

Nostalgic, I did a search for a tape (yes, tape) by an old Russian punk band and was actually able to buy all 35 albums (yes, 35!) on 3 CDS. It's made my month. The band is Grazhdanskaya Oborona - one of the greatest punk groups ever - the singer, Egor Letov, has the perfect bass growl, the guitars are noisy and out of tune and the songs are all about 2 minutes long. Heaven.

So I've been alternating between Romanian polka-punk and hardcore Russian punk.

I've been wanting to write a post about odd foreign music (I suspect many of us listen to one or two groups that no one else has ever heard of), but I couldn't figure a way to make the music available to listen. Maybe later.
