What conceited silliness. First to whomever stated that I called anyone racist for not liking hip-hop, you should go back and re-read EXACTLY what I said (maybe get a dictionary out while you're at it).

Second, this idea that a genre of music is bad is just plain ignorant. There's not really a better word to describe it. There are extremely proficient musicians that play and prefer hip-hop music. In the last decade, most live hip-hop shows have incorporated musicians and bands.

Third, does anyone doubt that every form of music has undergone similar condemnation by those supposedly "in the know". Sure, rock and roll's not music. Jazz is jungle music at best. Mozart is crap. Right. of course, all those supposed music scholars are now resigned to the dust bin of history. There will always be some old fool shaking his cane at whatever is new or different. And on cue you step up to join their ranks.

But the most important aspect of this stupidity is the idea that everyone should like what YOU like.

How closed-minded. How simple-minded. How insecure.

I am thankful to live in a world where everyone doesn't like the same things. Only the most childish thinker would feel otherwise.
