I'm sure I'll be sorry for jumping in here, but what the hell. The issue is not as simple as "Europe gets two for one" in vaccines. Many European countries permit the addition of adjuvants to vaccines, which increase the potency of the vaccines, or are supposed to.

In the US, the FDA has not approved the use of adjuvants. Presumably they have a medical reason, or are just more cautious than some European agencies. One of the most frequently heard criticisms of the FDA is that they do not exercise enough caution in approving new drugs or vaccines. So should we instantly approve the use of adjuvants? And will certain Fray posters, if the adjuvants prove to have serious side effects, come back here to denounce the FDA for approving their use?
