I think Pete is saying that the notion that Saddam could have WMDs was a successful proactive deception on his part. He WANTED us to find some tubes that could be misconstrued as centrifuge-ready. He somehow manipulated the documentation around yellowcake and solidify the ruse. (I guess it was all his masterstroke to incite war on his own country, in preparation for the victorious backlash as western gentiles/jews crusade through the ME, reigniting Iraqi/muslim nationalism). Is this close at all Pete?

I'm all for open-mindedness, but the puzzle pieces don't fit that way. The most probable narrative of the how and why we got this stupid war is the one middleview is talking about.
