Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) is the keynote speaker at a forum at the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, CA. Despite their many political battles in the 1980s, Sen. Edward M. Kennedy praised the late President Ronald Reagan here Saturday, particularly noting Reagan’s role in ending the Cold War.

As the featured speaker at a forum sponsored by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Library, Kennedy lauded, among other things, the 40th president’s aggressive stance toward the Soviet Union, which hastened the end of the Cold War. “It had been waged as a bipartisan enterprise by Republican and Democratic Congresses and administrations from the first moment to the last,” Kennedy said.
